Her prothrombin time was elevated, showing her blood was not clotting, explaining the earlier bleeding. The MRI was negative for abscesses and masses, ruling out meningitis, but she did have a subarachnoid bleed into her brain. House ordered an SPEP and an MRI to check for meningitis and an environmental scan for lithium and to check the water in the patient's home. Foreman thought it might be myoluminous meningitis. The patient had recently given birth and was caring for her newborn son Mikey. Her name is probably a tribute to the character of Cara Mason from Terry Goodkind's saga: The Sword of Truth. She was portrayed by actress Hillary Tuck.
